REDD+

The REDD+ framework, activities, safeguards, monitoring and results.

Safeguards

REDD+ actions must address and respect the seven Cancun safeguards (Decision 1/CP.16). Kenya keeps the seven safeguards as its reference and groups them in four themes: governance, do no harm, multiple benefits and mitigation effectiveness. The Safeguards Information System (SIS) reports how they are met.
