REDD+ Safeguards Information System
Kenya's safeguards information under REDD+ is published through the national REDD+ website.
The Safeguards Information System (SIS) is the reporting system required by Decision 1/CP.16. It is built on the indicators of Kenya's Country Approach to Safeguards and is largely automated. Public and private entities implementing REDD+ actions report through it when safeguards are triggered. It works with the Strategic Environmental and Social Assessment (SESA), the Environmental and Social Management Framework (ESMF) and a feedback, grievance and redress mechanism.
