Data Retention and Archiving

  • Each dataset's metadata records its archive policy, retention period, backup location and planned review date.
  • Data providers may ask for an erroneous dataset to be corrected, or for a dataset to be withdrawn, subject to technical review and governance approval.
  • Version history and processing dates are kept with each dataset, so earlier versions remain traceable.
