Submission Guidelines

Data, metadata and quality requirements and procedures.

Quality Requirements

  • Preliminary validation and cleaning by the data provider before submission.
  • A quality statement in the metadata: accuracy (positional and thematic), completeness, limitations and assumptions, and the QA/QC procedure applied.
  • Validation details: who validated the data, when and how.
  • A quality tier (Gold, Silver or Bronze, or equivalent).
  • Review by the Technical Working Groups for completeness, accuracy and conformity to the FIP standards.
