Objectives
The NFMS document sets four objectives:
- To develop the methodology of how forests are monitored.
- To develop the data management system for REDD+ and sustainable forest management.
- To clarify the institutional arrangements for implementing the NFMS.
- To clarify the medium- and long-term calendar for implementing the national forest monitoring system.
The document is to be revised regularly as new technologies, information and data become available.
