Submission Status
Track a submission from draft to published.
Submitted
A submission moves through these states: Draft → Submitted → Under review → Returned (with comments) or Approved → Published. Data providers will see the status of each of their submissions here after signing in.
| Step | Who | What happens |

| 1. Upload | Data provider | Uploads the dataset (spatial data, tables or documents) |
| 2. Validate | System | Automatic checks: file format, coordinate system, required fields, geometry errors |
| 3. Review | Technical reviewer / NTC | Checks metadata, spatial quality and completeness |
| 4. Approve | Technical reviewer / NTC | Approves, or returns the submission to the provider with comments |
| 5. Publish | KFS NFMS super user | Publishes the approved dataset to the catalogue |
| 6. Display on NFMS | System | The dataset appears on maps, dashboards and in the data catalogue for its permitted users |
